Steeds meer telers in het zuidwesten van Nederland beginnen zich zorgen te maken over het binnenhalen van de aardappeloogst. Het natte najaarsweer vertraagt de werkzaamheden op het land .
Een ruwe schatting leert dat rond de 40 procent van de aardappelen in het zuidwesten nog moet worden gerooid.
Ook Kees Breure uit Dinteloord gaf voorrang aan de uien. Zijn aardappelen (20 hectare) staan allemaal nog in de grond. Breure maakt zich nog niet ongerust over de kwaliteit. 'Het onderwatergewicht is goed.'
De gemiddelde aardappelopbrengst in Nederland ligt dit jaar 10 tot 15 % lager. Daar staat een hogere prijs tegenover.
De aardappelbeurzen beginnen volgende week met de noteringen.
