TOMRA Sorting Food to demonstrate Genius system at Gulfood Manufacturing
Octubre 31, 2014
TOMRA Sorting Food will exhibit its popular Genius modular sorting system at Gulfood Manufacturing, the largest food processing exhibition for the Middle East, Africa and Indian Sub-Continent.

The event is being held from November 9-11 at the Dubai World Trade Centre and TOMRA Sorting Food will attend in partnership with United Arab Emirates-based food group Fanar Al Khaleej.

Located together on Stand S1-C33 in Hall SSH1, they will demonstrate the capabilities of TOMRA Sorting Food’s Genius 640 3-way optical belt sorter on dates and potato chips.

In addition to dates and potato chips, the machine is suitable for sorting fresh cut produce, vegetables, nuts, fruit, seafood and potato products. It uses a combination of camera and laser inspection technologies to reject discoloured or misshaped foods and foreign materials from the processing line within milliseconds.

For operators, the sorting machine brings multiple benefits. Its graphical user interface enhances ease of use and its high volume abilities means processing is faster, more effective and efficient without compromising food safety and quality. In addition, it can be upgraded or modified as needed and requires little maintenance meaning a high return on investment.

Steve Raskin, Sales Director EMEA at TOMRA Sorting Food, said: “Visitors to our exhibition stand will be able to see first-hand the impact that the Genius system has on production line efficiency. Its state-of-the-art inspection technologies offer unrivalled sorting performance, rejecting core pieces, foreign material and insects to deliver products which meet exacting food quality and safety standards.”

TOMRA Sorting Food and Fanar Al Khaleej representatives will also be available on the stand to discuss the future of food manufacturing and the needs of food processors now and in the future. They will be able to discuss on all other sorting challenges processors might have.
