Gopal Snacks Limited reported a 409% year-on-year increase in net profit to INR 12.85 crore (USD 1.5 Million) in Q1 FY27, supported by revenue growth, lower operating costs and an expanding distribution network.

The company recorded revenue of approximately INR 422 crore (USD 49.5 Million), up 31% year-on-year, as it continued its operational recovery following a fire at its main manufacturing facility in Rajkot in December 2024. The plant resumed operations in May 2026.

Operational Consolidation and Distribution Expansion Drive Growth

Three key factors contributed to the improvement in performance.

First, production was consolidated back at the Rajkot facility from a temporary unit in Gondal, helping reduce power, fuel and transportation costs. Second, the company expanded its distribution network by adding 54 distributors, taking its reach to approximately 0.52–0.55 million outlets.

These measures supported operational efficiency while strengthening the company's distribution reach across its markets.

Cost Management Supports Margin Improvement

Gopal Snacks managed a 5% increase in raw material costs through a combination of grammage adjustments and price increases, helping protect gross margins.

The impact of these measures was reflected in profitability, with EBITDA margin rising to 7.44% in Q1 FY27 from 4.72% in the corresponding quarter last year.

The sharp increase in net profit also benefited from a relatively low base in Q1 FY26. Overall, the results highlight the combined impact of operational consolidation, distribution expansion and cost management in supporting the company's recovery following a major manufacturing disruption.
