Glens of Antrim Potatoes has shut down subsidiary North Antrim Foods at Castlecatt and 15 people are affected.
Glens of Antrim Potatoes Managing Director Michael McKillop told the Times the Castlecatt work has been " relocated" to the Cushendall plant where the staff can re-apply for their jobs.
Mr McKillop said the move was for "operational reasons".
He added: "The site has relocated and it doesn't affect customers."
He said production of their range of foods like the Paul Rankin range of potatoes will continue.
Around 60 people work at the Cushendall factory.
In June this year, a media release announced the development of North Antrim Foods to sell convenience potato products to the retail, catering and food service markets with the potential to create 50 jobs.
