Marcelissen introduces new roller peeler

October 31, 2011

Marcelissen, a machine manufacturer for the fresh market in Europe and specialized in potatoes (and carrots) has built a new drum roller peeler.

This new roller peeler (first on the market) has a capacity that is 40% higher than the roller peeler as these were up till now. Furthermore - and definitely not less important - the machine has a minimum of wearable parts what reduces maintenance to the lowest level ever. This means not only a raise in the profit/yield, but also a drastic reduction on the costs for the user of the machine.

Marcelissen developed and tested the new peeler in 2010. Now the development of the roller peeler has successfully completed and the first two machines are currently being built for their customers.

Their revolutionary design of the machine includes the following features:

  • A very easy clicking system to change the rollers in a minute.
  • Can be done by 1 person without any assistance.
  • Cleaning hatches fully integrated in the machine.
  • No loss of space and/or capacity because of unpractical cleaning constructions.
  • The machine is completely chain wheel driven what makes v-belts history.
  • Changeable drum in case of changing capacities.
  • The drum can be changed and/or adapted to a new capacity without too much trouble.
Price of the improved machine is comparable to the previous version before the upgrade: even thought this new machine is loaded with technical novelties and high quality improvements, Marcelissen managed to keep our price on the same level as the old one.

Marcelissen will officially introduce the machine at the Fruit Logistica in 2012. If you would like to check out the machine earlier, please feel free to contact Marcelissen directly.
