Con el propósito de que los agricultores dispongan de una guía fácil de aplicación para la producción del cultivo de la papa en las provincias de Azuay, Cañar y Loja, la Estación Experimental del Austro del Instituto Nacional Autónomo de Investigaciones Agropecuarias (Iniap) ha puesto en circulación el Manual del Cultivo de Papa para la Sierra Sur.
Esta publicación recoge las experiencias y recomendaciones técnicas generadas por el Programa Nacional de Raíces y Tubérculos probadas y validadas en fincas de los productores de las provincias mencionadas.
