Tong Peal Brings Innovation To LAMMA 2014
December 17, 2013
Tong Peal Engineering is set to showcase its latest range of in-field handling equipment at LAMMA 2014.

The leading agricultural manufacturer will be present on stand R25 at the national farming exhibition, which takes place at the East of England Showground in Peterborough on the 22nd and 23rd January.

Visitors to the show will have the opportunity to speak with the Tong Peal team about recent industry developments, as well as see the latest models of its market-leading Caretaker and Storemaker.

Designed with quality, versatility and usability in mind, the innovative in-field handling machines provide growers and packers with the perfect solution for grading and processing multiple crop types, in all weather conditions.

Featuring the latest technologies and a range of next-generation user benefits, the latest models of Tong Peal’s market-leading equipment are the most advanced and flexible handling units available.

As well as heavy-duty design and Tong Peal’s market-leading cleaning unit – the EasyClean, both systems are built with Tong Peal’s proprietary energy-efficient Blue Inverter Technology and Auto-Touch HMI Touch-Screen control for complete control of crop handling.

Reducing energy consumption by up to 50% when compared to previous models, Blue Inverter Technology substitutes traditional motors with electric direct drive on all inverter variable speed motors, ensuring exact energy delivery and power on demand.

To fully automate the handling process, the Blue Inverter Technology is joined by Tong Peal’s Auto-Touch HMI Control – a touch screen unit that replaces traditional ‘stop and go’ controls.

Offering users complete flexibility to quickly and automatically change the cleaning unit to suit different crop types and handling conditions, the touch screen eliminates manual adjustment of controls and provides pre-determined settings to fully change settings instantly and at the touch of a button.

“We’re really looking forward to showcasing our latest equipment developments at LAMMA,” commented Edward Tong, Operations Director at Tong Peal Engineering.

“As well as new technologies and control settings, all of our mild steel painted machinery now receives a SPECTRACON® coating, which pairs a solvent-based epoxy primer with a high-performance finish layer, to provide unrivalled corrosion resistance, excellent durability and outstanding appearance.

“The eco-friendly acrylic polyurethane paint can also withstand direct sunlight, preventing appearance fade and ensuring a long-lasting glossy appearance. This means that our equipment will retain its flawless appearance, regardless of exposure to weather or accidental damage.”

Also on Stand R25 will be Tong Peal’s revolutionary designed Revolver Box Tipper – the company’s latest addition to its handling range.

Fully adjustable and customisable to meet exact user requirements, the specialist tipper uses the latest technology to achieve throughput figures of up to 40 tonnes per hour. Based on an innovative patent pending design, instead of a traditional pivot tipping action, the new Revolver box tipper tips boxes with a unique forward rolling motion, to very gently yet fully empty crop.

Designed to automatically lift and empty boxes, the revolver offers continuous box tipping with dramatically reduced forklift requirements, saving time, increasing throughput potential and helping to meet packhouse health and safety guidelines.
