Potandon Produce Begins Shipping Potatoes Out Of Arizona

The growing season in Arizona was nearly perfect this year

Potandon Produce L.L.C., the exclusive marketing agent for Pinto Creek Cooperative., Inc. in Eloy, Arizona, announced that its fresh potato season has begun in Arizona.

Chad Reynolds, Variety Operations Manager at Potandon stated, “The growing season in Arizona was nearly perfect this year making the quality and yields coming out of the field outstanding and we expect that to continue throughout the season.”

Potandon will be shipping red, yellow and specialty mini potatoes in the Green Giant® and private label packs from Pinto Creek in all standard retail package sizes plus specialty and standard foodservice cartons.

Red and yellow potatoes will ship out of Arizona until around July 4 while mini red, mini yellow and purple potatoes will ship through August.

Pinto Creek is a PRIMUS certified facility and will have full-time Quality Assurance personnel stationed at the facility for the entire season. The packing facility has seen constant improvement over the past five years, from a new storage facility to state of the art grading and sizing equipment. The commitment of the ownership and the staff has elevated the Pinto Creek packing facility to one of the premier red potato packing sheds in the southwest.
