Organic produce is in record-high demand, selling more than $11 billion worth in 2015 alone. To meet the demand, RPE, Inc., has been continually expanding its organic program.

As more households purchase organic produce than ever before, RPE and its growers are stepping up to meet that challenge. RPE’s long-time growing partner, Chad Malek, began growing organic potatoes in 2011.

In late 2015, Malek’s farm experienced an unfortunate warehouse fire. When rebuilding, Malek used the opportunity to expand his organic program and provide other organic potato growers the space and capacity to wash, cool and store their organic potatoes. The new facility is capable of handling more varieties and sizes at one time. Proving better, more consistent quality organic products.

In addition to its already robust potato offerings and the expansion of their organic programs in Colorado and the Northwest, RPE has continued to expand its organic products line, with an exciting opportunity with organic sweet potato growers in Mississippi. This addition marks a new record for RPE, whose organic growing operations span six states. Since RPE began packing commodity organics in 2009, their organic land base has increased over 6,000 percent.

Russell Wysocki, President and CEO of RPE, Inc.:

“Having seen a rise in the popularity of organics potatoes, we hope that our partnerships and expanded organic capabilities will provide our customers with more organic options that their consumers demand.”
