Packaging equipment company Manter finalist in 'Drenthe Enterprise of the Year 2023'
The race for the title "Drenthe Enterprise of the Year 2023" is in full swing. From 150 entries, 10 companies from Drenthe (a province in the Netherlands) were nominated.
Of these 10 companies, Manter International B.V. is one of the three companies that are participating in the finals together with Proxcys out of Emmen and Brink Industrial from Hoogeveen.
Manter has been developing and manufacturing weighing and packaging machines for fruits, vegetables and various other products since 1995. All machines are designed and built at the main location in Emmen.
Together with a network of more than 40 dealers, Manter sells machines worldwide and provides service and maintenance. Manter is currently active in 76 countries.
Nomination
After a period in which the jury had intensive contact with the nominees to get to know the companies better, July 6 was the nomination evening. This evening, 10 nominated companies from 150 entries competed for a spot in the finals.
Each company gave a pitch about their company around the theme mobile & flexible, after which it was up to the jury to make a choice. Manters’ managing director Herman Wehkamp gave a strong pitch in which the goals and qualities of Manter were clearly presented.
He spoke about the market's various desires regarding sustainability and how Manter responds flexibly. After an inspiring and exciting evening, the jury gave the final word: Manter International B.V. is one of the three finalists in the race for the title 'Drenthe Enterprise of the Year 2023'.
The final
In the coming months, the members of the jury visit the finalists to get a good “look and feel” of the different companies. In addition, the companies are examined how other factors such as professionalism, systems, agile operation in the market and flexible response to opportunities are addressed.
Another part of the assessment is analyzing the company’s finances. All this is to make an informed decision during the final night on the 19th of October 2023: Who will soon be named Drenthe Enterprise of the Year 2023?
