The UK's leading vegetable handling equipment manufacturer will reveal a new mobile box filler at Interpom next month. Haith Group, which will be on Booth 1127 on 24th, 25th and 26th November, is set to launch the latest version of its innovative QuantaFill.

The QuantaFill features an innovative in-feed conveyor that gently layers the crop into a buffer bunker, which is then lowered into the box. Active discharge doors then open to transfer the crop into the box, simultaneously raising as it fills.

The process ensures that the weight of the box is never lifted and the machine is not put under pressure, which eliminates fatigue and prevents damage to both the machine and the box.

The additional box-handling functionality allows the operator to place stacks of empty boxes into the machine. The boxes are then automatically de-stacked and transported to the filling module. After filling, the boxes are re-stacked for the operator to remove from the line.

Haith has now designed a mobile version with a wheeled chassis that a tractor or forklift can easily move around multi-store processing sites.

In addition to the mobile QuantaFill, Haith will promote its new Supa Fill 600 PRO XL. Designed to work across the end of a 2400-wide (eight-foot) grader, the Supa Fill 600 PRO XL removes the need for a cross conveyor and uses one less drop point.

The Supa Fill 600 PRO XL offers several innovative features, including a patented three-variable speed belt system for gentle crop transition. Haith has also replaced the shaft-mounted motor gearbox units with powered drum motors, and a positive drive rack and pinion arrangement has been used instead of the traditional chain and sprocket transmission.

The result of these innovations is a box filler that can handle up to 60 boxes per hour, which is achieved as one box filling conveyor can be lowered into position while the opposite side is filling. Single belt machines cannot deliver this.

The Supa Fill completes Haith's comprehensive range of box fillers, which also includes the Rota Tip S, RotaTip SE (side eject) and RotaTip TE (top eject), providing the ideal solution for growers of all sizes from single farm sites to multiple store operators. As well as Haith's sales team, the company will be joined on its stand by its European agent, SWP Machinery.

Rob Highfield, Sales manager at Haith:

"Interpom is our last major show of the year, and it is always an enjoyable exhibition for. Historically, we have received a great deal of interest in whatever new machine or innovation that we've launched or showcased at Interpom, and I expect this year to be no different."

"We are very much looking forward to having SWP Machinery alongside us, and it will be great to meet up with existing customers and meet potential new ones over the three days in Belgium."
