De presentatie van aardappelen in de supermarkt kan beter. De consumenten kunnen geen wijs worden uit het aanbod, vindt financieel manager Jan Hoogenboom van HZPC.
Daarom heeft het handelshuis een presentatie ontwikkeld. In een kast liggen achter glazen deuren aardappelen gegroepeerd naar bepaalde kenmerken, zoals smaak, herkomst of gebruik. Hoogenboom: ”Deze presentatie laten we zien op beurzen waar supermarkten komen. We hopen dat ze dit idee overnemen.”
HZPC presenteerde het idee op de rassenshows vorige week. Hoogenboom ziet vaak in supermarkten dat de aardappelzakken in grote ijzeren containers liggen. ”De consument moet maar uitzoeken wat bij hem past. Onze presentatie helpt de consument een goede keuze te maken. We moeten de aardappel uit de alledaagsheid trekken.”
Daarom heeft HZPC een aantal gekleurde aardappelen gekweekt en aangemeld voor de rassenlijst. Hoogenboom: ”Daar kun je leuk mee variëren op een bord. Maar dit is wel een nichemarkt.”
