VION and H2 Equity Partners have announced that they have entered into an agreement for the intended sale of Oerlemans Foods to investment company H2 Equity Partners.

HZPC Holland B.V. expects to pay its seed potato growers at least 33 euro per 100 kg for crop 2013. This forecasted price is 10% above the expected 30 euro that HZPC expressed to its growers at the beginning of December 2013.

Lamb Weston / Meijer, manufacturer of deep-frozen potato products and dried potato flakes, is investing 20 million euros in its biggest plant in Kruiningen, Zeeland (NL). A fully-automated potato sorting process is being implemented in a new, state-of-the-art potato grading area.
