Rancho San Luis is a Mexican company that commercializes fresh potatoes and produces precut, vacuum-packed potato products for retail and food service markets, as well as frozen French fries and potato specialties under the Ecofrost brand. The company operates across the potato value chain from agricultural production through processing and distribution to major retailers nationwide.
Founded in 2001, Rancho San Luis began as a vegetable producer before expanding into commercialization of fresh produce and processing for the consumer market. The company traces its roots to 1987 when operations started at the Central de Abastos market in Mexico City, with first agricultural production in 1992. In 2006, it became the first company with Global Markets Food Manufacturing Intermediate certification within the Central de Abastos. A 2008 launch introduced semi-processed products for the food service market. In 2018, the company formed an alliance with a leading European frozen potato processor to represent their products in Mexico. A new manufacturing and processing plant built in 2023 tripled production capacity.
