The ideal fry featured a crisp exterior, a tender and fluffy interior, and enough earthy notes to complement the sweet potato's natural flavor. Fries were tasted plain to eliminate bias, while testers also sampled them with ketchup to assess how well they paired with a traditional dipping sauce.

Alexia Delivers Restaurant-Quality Results

Alexia's winning fries impressed judges with their authentic sweet potato flavor, buttery mouthfeel, and balanced seasoning. Sea salt highlighted the fries' natural sweetness without overpowering it, while subtle ingredients such as chile powder and mustard seed added depth to the overall flavor profile.

Once baked, the fries developed a lightly crispy exterior surrounding a soft, fluffy interior. Testers also appreciated their slightly irregular shapes, which gave them a homemade appearance.
