Burger King Corp. announced today that it has awarded development rights in Suriname to the following franchise developers: Shanker Persaud, Anil Raghoebarsingh, Sanjay Raghoebarsingh and Armand Van Alen.

The first BURGER KING(R) restaurant to be launched by the new franchise developers in Suriname is expected to open during the second half of calendar 2008 in the capital city of Paramaribo. The 650 square-meter, two-story, freestanding restaurant will include Wi-Fi access, a state-of-the-art indoor playground, lounge area and coffee counter. Additional restaurant openings throughout the country are scheduled during the next three years.
