Partner Logistics heeft in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, koelhuis van 220.660 vierkante meter groot geopend. Dit is volgens het bedrijf het grootste in het Verenigd Koninkrijk. De koelhuisfaciliteit werd ontwikkeld voor de aardappelverwerker Lamb Weston Meijer. Zij gaan het grootste deel van de faciliteit in gebruik nemen. Ook de Belgische diepvriesproductenspecialist Pinguin zal gebruik gaan maken van de faciliteit, evenals Birds Eye.
De bouw heeft 42 miljoen pond gekocht en het gebouw is 175 meter bij 88 meter groot en 36 meter hoog. Er is plaats voor maximaal 77.000 pallets van ingevroren voedsel. Het voedsel kan gekoeld worden tot een temperatuur van -26 graden Celsius. Partner Logistics exploiteert nu 13 volledig geautomatiseerde koelhuizen in Europa en Rusland.
