Planting of early potatoes is under way in Cornwall, although rain is likely to have halted further progress this week, says the Potato Council.
About 25 hectares (62 acres) had been planted and covered by the beginning of the week.
In the East, weather conditions are mild but much wetter, while in the West milder temperatures continue, but heavy rain has affected most regions. However, some planting may be possible in Pembrokeshire next week.
