De Nederlandse aardappelverwerkende industrie heeft in de periode oktober 2010 t/m september 2011 een record hoeveelheid aardappelen verwerkt tot consumptieproducten.
De totale verwerkte hoeveelheid aardappelen was bijna 3,5 miljoen ton. In de vergelijkbare voorgaande periode tussen oktober 2009 en september 2010 werd er totaal 3,33 miljoen ton. Nederland blijft qua totale verwerking altijd nog net voor op België en Duitsland.
In september 2011 draaide de fabrieken ook weer op volle toeren (295.600 ton). In september 2010 werd er 286.500 ton verwerkt.
