Adria is wereldberoemd geworden met zijn moleculaire kookkunsten in El Bulli, voor Noma vijf keer verkozen tot het beste restaurant ter wereld. Ferran Adria krijgt de opdracht voor de Amerikaanse multinational nieuwe producten te maken en het team te inspireren.
Pepsi verwacht van de topchef dat hij ingrediënten ontwikkelt met meer smaak waardoor het gebruik van vet en olie wordt verminderd. ‘Producten moeten gezonder worden,’ aldus PepsiCo.
Voor de Spaanse afdeling creëerde hij in 2005 al een succesvolle lijn van koude groentesoepen onder de merknaam Alvalle, en voor chipsmerk Lay's bedacht hij zelfs de lokale variant 'Artesanas 100 procent olijfolie'.
