McCain Foods (GB) has launched new Signatures Staycrisp Fries, pre-seasoned chips that remain crispy from fryer to plate.
It’s latest ‘Cashing in on Chips’ report revealed consumers are after a natural, regular-shaped, golden, crispy and hot chip, with pre-seasoned chips found to perform better in taste trials.
Available in packs of 4x 2.27kg, the Signature Staycrisp Fries are made with only British potatoes and cook within 2.5 minutes.
Donna Rowbottom, McCain Foods (GB) marketing manager, said: “Chips are much loved, but too easy to overlook. The report underlines how integral chips are to meal satisfaction, and it’s scary to think that an operator could be risking a large proportion of its clientele every time a meal is served”.
