Only last week the organisers of PotatoEurope 2021 have opened the pre-registration for former participants of PotatoEurope and already now a great number of participants have signed up for the upcoming edition.

PotatoEurope 2021 takes place on 1 and 2 September at the location of Wageningen University & Research (WUR), Field crops in Lelystad, The Netherlands.

The event is expected to host more than 275 exhibitors from all over the world and to welcome more than 16.000 visitors in 2 days.

The event is strongly supported by the industry and governmental bodies including the NAO (Dutch Potato Organisation), Wageningen University & Research (WUR), Horizon Flevoland (regional development agency of Flevoland), Agrofoodcluster and World Potato City Emmeloord.

Many companies have already reserved or booked their space at PotatoEurope 2021 and as from this week registration is also open to new exhibitors.

Kuno Jacobs of DLG Benelux:

“Last week we opened the pre-registration and what we notice is that companies are very eager to book their space as they are really looking forward to participate in a face-to-face event again.”

“Many events within the sector have been cancelled or held online in the past period, PotatoEurope 2021 is again the first major targeted event within the sector to be organized physically. In addition, we see that people in general are optimistic that next year the situation with regards to Covid-19 will gradually return to normal, especially as PotatoEurope is organized later in the year.”

“However, we have adapted our booking conditions and in the unlikely case that the exhibition could not be held, all exhibitors will be fully reimbursed for their (stand)rental costs and no down payment is required until next year. This makes our participants feel secure by booking now as there is no financial risk by signing up.”

Companies which have already signed up or placed their option include: AVR, Agrico, Aviko, Broekema Conveyor Belts, Eureden Solawest, EURO-Jabelmann Maschinenbau GmbH, Ferucom, Kamps de Wild, Komeco B.V., Martin Lishman Ltd, Mechatec b.v. box handling systems, Meijer Potato, Necap B.V., Sencrop, Solana, Stet, Tummers Food Processing Solutions, UniPatatas A/S, Van Rijn France, Van Rijn France and WIFO-Anema BV.

In the coming weeks many more companies are expected to sign up.

For PotatoEurope 2021 an area of more than 20 hectares is being allocated, allowing the organisers to organize extensive live machinery demonstrations, accommodate trial fields for crop protection, fertilizer and green manuring demonstrations and of course the exhibition part itself. During PotatoEurope an extensive conference program will be organised and will run parallel to the event.

PotatoEurope has built up a solid reputation as being one of the major events within the Potato industry in Europe and beyond!
