FPS Food Process Solutions, a leading provider of turn-key freezing and chilling solutions, showcased its innovative technologies at the Food Northwest Process and Packaging Expo in Portland, Oregon, which took place on April 10-11. With subsidiaries CMP of Prince Edward Island, GEM Equipment of Oregon, and partner OptiCept Technologies, FPS unveiled a comprehensive suite of end-to-end solutions designed to streamline and optimize potato processing.

A Strategic Collaboration for Pioneering Technologies

FPS, well known for freezing and cooling equipment, had fortified its market presence through strategic alliances, the most recent one with OptiCept Technologies. This partnership focused on developing and commercializing Pulsed Electric Field (PEF) technology for solid food processing, beginning with potatoes. 

This innovation promised efficiency and quality enhancements in the potato processing sector, as stated by FPS president, Jeffrey Chang, and OptiCept Technologies CEO, Thomas Lundqvist. The integration of PEF generators into FPS’s portfolio signified a leap forward in technological advancement for the global food processing industry.
