Iscon Balaji Foods Pvt. Ltd. (IBF), one of India's foremost integrated potato processors, marked a significant international trade milestone with its successful four-day participation at the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS 2026), held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) from September 23 to 26.

Presenting its flagship consumer and commercial brand, Hungritos, IBF engaged with regional food distributors, quick-service restaurant (QSR) operators, and retail category heads across Southeast Asia. The showcase served as a strategic platform to highlight IBF's end-to-end processing ecosystem, which integrates specialized contract seed farming, high-capacity French fry processing, and advanced IQF freezing technologies based out of Gujarat, India.

IBF Presents Frozen Potato Portfolio at MIHAS 2026

Throughout the four-day event, IBF conducted live sampling at Booth 4D31-4D03, serving hot, fresh batches of its frozen food portfolio every day. Trade visitors and culinary buyers sampled a wide selection of potato products, including classic French fries, waffle fries, crinkle cuts, and seasoned potato finger food items.

The tasting counters drew a consistently enthusiastic response, with attendees widely appreciating the natural potato flavor, golden finish, and satisfying crunch that held its texture well after frying.

IBF Targets Southeast Asian Export Growth

The showcase directly supported IBF's broader roadmap to expand its export presence across Southeast Asia and key global halal corridors. With regional demand accelerating across fast-casual dining and food delivery networks, commercial kitchens are actively seeking reliable supply chain partners who can provide consistent fry quality, stable volumes, and complete farm-level traceability.

By pairing certified Halal processing with advanced freezing standards, the company demonstrated how its expanded portfolio meets high-throughput kitchen needs and solves texture loss during transit.

The strong visitor response and steady trade engagement at MITEC reinforce Iscon Balaji Foods' growing international profile, laying the groundwork for new regional distribution partnerships, private-label packaging programs, and long-term foodservice supply contracts across the Asia-Pacific market.
