Potato Sustainability Alliance welcomes new members to strengthen sustainability efforts

The Potato Sustainability Alliance (PSA) is pleased to announce the addition of two new members in the first quarter of 2026, further strengthening its commitment to advancing sustainability across the potato value chain. Joining PSA are SQM Specialty Plant Nutrition as an allied industry member, and the North Carolina Potato Association as a state grower organization member.

These new members represent key segments of the potato industry – from regional grower leadership to global agricultural innovation – and reflect the continued momentum behind PSA’s collaborative, data-driven approach to sustainability.

North Carolina Potato Association – The North Carolina Potato Association joins PSA as a new state grower organization member. Representing 16 growers with a legacy dating back to 1928, the Association has long supported collaboration and growth within the potato industry. North Carolina’s short but impactful growing season plays a key role in filling supply gaps across the U.S. and Canada, with approximately 75% of production serving the chip market. The Association also works closely with state and national partners to promote North Carolina potatoes and strengthen market opportunities for growers.
