SAI Platform launches Regenerating Together Programme at 2026 Annual Event

SAI Platform has launched its Regenerating Together Programme during the 2026 Annual Event in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and London Climate Action Week, marking a significant step in advancing regenerative agriculture through practical implementation across global food and agricultural supply chains. The programme is supported by more than 40 food and agriculture companies, including potato industry companies McCain Foods and Louis Dreyfus Company.
Programme enters implementation phase
The Regenerating Together Programme supports the transition from regenerative agriculture principles to practical implementation by providing a common framework, implementation guidance and support across the agricultural value chain. At the core of the programme is the Regenerating Together framework, which offers a practical four-step implementation process together with verification and benchmarking protocols designed to improve consistency, credibility and transparency.
Yves Leclerc, Senior Director, Global Agronomy & Planet-Friendly Practices at McCain Foods and Chair of the Regenerating Together Programme since 2023:
"Regenerative agriculture is not simply an aspiration, it's a necessity. Farmers today are facing a complex set of challenges, from climate variability and water scarcity to biodiversity loss, rising input costs and stagnating yields. These realities are putting increasing pressure on agriculture production systems and reinforcing the need for new approaches that strengthen long-term resilience."
Programme builds on international pilot projects
The launch follows more than four years of cross-sector collaboration, including pilot initiatives across 23 production systems in 25 countries. According to SAI Platform, farmers have played a central role in developing the programme, helping ensure it is practical, relevant and applicable under real farming conditions.
Annual event showcases practical solutions
Held from June 22–24 in Saskatoon, the 2026 Annual Event included on-farm visits, technology and innovation showcases, Community of Practice meetings and expert-led discussions. The programme highlighted farmer-led solutions, practical results and scalable approaches designed to strengthen supply chains while supporting resilient farm businesses and rural communities.
Industry collaboration supports implementation
The Annual Event was hosted in collaboration with Louis Dreyfus Company and Syngenta Group. SAI Platform continues to work with implementation partners, including the Earthworm Foundation and The Nature Conservancy, to support farmer engagement and the practical application of regenerative agriculture.
