Mooij Agro's potato storage system integrates ventilation, climate control, sensors, storage computers, and monitoring tools. The system provides operators with constant visibility of what is occurring within the store, including temperature, humidity, and other climatic factors. Settings and equipment may then be modified as conditions change, allowing operators manage the crop from drying to curing.
The company's ventilation and climate systems are used for seed potatoes, table potatoes and potatoes intended for processing. Depending on the storage building and storage method, Mooij Agro can provide floor and duct ventilation, pressure ventilation, aspiration ventilation and other air-distribution solutions. Heating, mechanical cooling, humidification and dehumidification can also be incorporated where required. In 2001, Hotraco purchased Mooij Agro and broadened its operations into automation for crop storage. In January 2019, the company acquired the operations of AgroVent, allowing Mooij Agro to maintain service and support for the existing AgroVent equipment and setups.
