HEINZ Introduces Fry Box with Built-in Ketchup Compartment for On-the-Go Dipping

The Kraft Heinz Company has introduced the HEINZ Dipper, a newly designed fry box with an integrated ketchup compartment that allows consumers to dip fries easily while on the go. The concept responds to a common challenge faced by fry lovers who struggle to enjoy ketchup and fries outside traditional dining settings.
Nearly all french fry fans consider ketchup the perfect pairing. However, eating fries with ketchup while travelling or away from a table has often been inconvenient. According to the company, around 70 percent of consumers have spilled ketchup while dipping on the go, while 80 percent have considered skipping condiments altogether due to packaging limitations.
Packaging innovation designed for on-the-go consumption
The HEINZ Dipper introduces a fry box with a built-in compartment designed specifically for ketchup dipping. The packaging aims to provide a simple and mess-free solution for consumers who eat fries in cars, stadiums or other on-the-go environments.
Nina Patel, Vice President Global Heinz Brand at The Kraft Heinz Company:
"After spotlighting the uncanny resemblance between fry boxes and our iconic HEINZ Keystone globally, we wanted to take the next bold step: redesigning the age-old fry box to work even harder for our HEINZ lovers everywhere."
Patel added that the innovation reflects changing eating habits, with more meals taking place outside traditional dining environments.
Nina Patel, Vice President Global Heinz Brand at The Kraft Heinz Company:
"As more eating occasions happen away from home in drive-thrus and on-the-go moments, the HEINZ Dipper is a fun and relevant way to innovate to meet fans where they are and strengthen our role in their everyday lives."
Global rollout across multiple markets
The HEINZ Dipper will initially be introduced at participating restaurants and sports stadiums across eleven countries. The launch includes six cities in the United States as well as locations in Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, Italy, Portugal, the Philippines, Thailand, China and Kuwait.
Consumers visiting participating venues will receive fries served in the new HEINZ Dipper packaging while supplies last.
Testing expansion in the Away from Home channel
The introduction of the HEINZ Dipper also serves as a test for broader distribution within the brand’s “Away from Home” channel. With the launch spanning multiple international markets, the initiative represents one of the brand’s largest global activations to date.
The company aims to strengthen its global presence while responding to consumer demand for more convenient ways to enjoy fries and ketchup together during on-the-go dining occasions.
