In Nederland werden in de maand mei 285.500 ton aardappelen verwerkt tot consumptieproducten. Dat is 12.400 ton (4.5%) meer dan in mei 2010 (273.100 ton).
Van de verwerkte aardappelen was 79.300 ton (28%)afkomstig uit het buitenland. In mei 2010 was 75.700 ton van de verwerkte aardappelen ingevoerd.
Totaal over de periode juni 2010 t/m mei 2011 zijn er maar liefst 3,46 miljoen ton aardappelen verwerkt tot consumptieproducten, 108.000 ton meer dan over de periode juni 2009 t/m mei 2010.
