Zal de totale Nederlandse verwerking van aardappelen tot consumptieproducten over een twaalfmaand periode gaan uitkomen op het hoogste niveau ooit?
Die kans is zeer reëel gezien het feit dat het totaalcijfer over de periode maart 2010/februari 2011 nu uitkomt op bijna 3,42 miljoen ton tegen 3,375 miljoen ton over de periode maart 2009/ februari 2010. Ook het goede cijfer over de maand februari 2011 (283,700 ton aardappelen verwerkt tot consumptieproducten) draagt bij om de grens van 3,5 miljoen ton te halen.
Opvallend is dat ondanks het hogere verwerkingscijfer over de eerste 2 maanden van 2011 er minder volume verwerkt is tot voorgebakken product. Bedroeg het volume voorgebakken product in de eerste 2 maanden van 2010 239,500 ton dit jaar (2011) is dat totaal 225,400 ton. Blijkbaar is er vanwege de mindere kwaliteit in oogstjaar 2010 t.o.v. 2009 meer grondstof nodig.
