Lotte Mart (South Korea) now offers table-stock potatoes imported from the United States

May 08, 2012

Lotte Mart, with 93 stores nationwide (the 3rd largest retail group in Korea), started to sell US fresh table-stock potatoes in all stores on April 20, announcing the new product in their in-house paper and in their newspaper ads.

Lotte Mart even conducts product sampling at selected stores. Flyers and POS at the sampling shelf at stores say “how to enjoy the potatoes just like you can eat from popular family restaurants” with simple, three-step recipes.

US table-stock potatoes are now in the Korean market thanks the US-Korea Free Trade Agreement that allows 3,000 metric tons of US potatoes to enter Korea duty free each year.
