Knowledge and innovation will take center stage at Potato Demo Day 2026 — bringing the potato community together to learn, share, and grow.
Potato Demo Day 2026 in Westmaas: A Hub for Meeting, Learning, and Innovation in the Potato Industry

The date for Potato Demo Day 2026 has been set for Wednesday, 2 September 2026. The next edition will take place in Westmaas, with a stronger focus on knowledge transfer and new components such as the Startup Square and demonstrations. Two years ago, the focus shifted toward more knowledge sharing.
Leanne Mol-Van de Erve, Exhibition Manager of Potato Demo Day:
"We have had many positive reactions about the new set-up. That is why we are even more committed to high-quality knowledge sharing through lectures and demonstrations for the coming edition. But above all, meeting people is also central."
For the entire chain
The Dutch and European potato sector is currently facing major challenges and important issues. Potato Demo Day facilitates the sharing of knowledge, ideas and experiences. This allows visitors to strengthen not only their own company, but also the entire potato chain. The entire chain is therefore covered: from soil to potato, from harvester to storage and from processing to the (cone) bag.
New parts
Edition 2026 has several new parts. For example, there is the Startup square, where startups and scale-ups are given the opportunity to show their innovations. In addition, demonstrations are organized. Not with harvesters and unloading lines, but there is so much more to show while running. Keep an eye on our social media channels for more news about this! Tried and tested components can also be found in the coming edition: the Young Farmers Program and the Knowledge Barn. Lectures, sessions and seminars are organized here.

Startups and exhibitors engage with growers along the demo-plot walkways — innovation meets practice.
Mechanisation and demo fields
The demo fields will be constructed on the outdoor site, where companies can show the results of interesting and relevant tests in practice. At the Mechanisatieplein, leading manufacturers, from home and abroad, and mechanization companies will have the opportunity to show the latest machines and applications. The Potato Demo Day is all about getting together, inspiring each other and sharing knowledge.

Experience innovation in action at the Mechanisation & Demo Fields — where the latest machines, practical tests, and shared knowledge bring the potato community together.
About Potato Demo Day
The Potato Demo Day stands for independent knowledge transfer and information exchange about cultivation, technology, market developments and sustainability. Growers, sorters, packers and knowledge partners from home and abroad are welcome to discover the latest developments and exchange experiences.

Hands-on innovation at Potato Demo Day 2026 — where growers, suppliers, and researchers meet to learn, connect, and shape the future of the potato chain.
The potato event, which is organised every two years by Wageningen University & Research, the Dutch Potato Organisation (NAO) and the Association for the Potato Processing Industry (VAVI), is the meeting place for the entire potato sector.
Exhibitors can register from 12 January.
