Hungry for more information on how to perfect your potato dishes? Consider your cravings satisfied with the Idaho Potato Commission’s (IPC) new website Potato 101, an all-you-can-eat buffet of knowledge on America’s Favorite Vegetable.

Contents include a brief history of the famous Idaho® potato, FAQs, nutritional benefits and an in-depth guide to storing, handling and preparing spuds.

“With Potato 101, we wanted to create an all-inclusive space where anyone, from a culinary student or an accomplished chef, to someone making their first baked potato, could find answers to their questions,” said Don Odiorne, Vice President, Foodservice, IPC. “The website showcases a variety of techniques for cooking potatoes that are suitable for a range of skill sets and presented in an engaging and easy-to-follow format.”

One of the most user-friendly aspects of the website is the selection of 23 short videos which serve as how-to guides for every aspect of potato preparation. The series includes basic concepts such as storing and cleaning potatoes, as well as more advanced techniques, like creating potato ribbons and curls.
