Heat and Control will showcase its latest snack processing, conveying, seasoning, weighing and packaging technologies at Snackex 2026 in Lisbon, Portugal.

With sustainability and production efficiency remaining key priorities for snack manufacturers, the company will highlight solutions designed to support smarter seasoning, more sustainable operations and improved production performance.

The company's Snackex display will feature a range of recently launched technologies addressing challenges such as energy consumption, water usage, seasoning control and workplace conditions.

FastBack Symphony On-Machine Seasoning System

Among the technologies on display will be the FastBack® Symphony On-Machine Seasoning System (OMS), developed to simplify seasoning operations and improve accuracy in high-speed production environments.

According to the company, the system addresses common seasoning challenges including airborne seasoning, inconsistent product coverage and sanitation requirements while supporting higher production speeds and application rates.

Blake Svejkovsky, General Manager, Product Handling Systems at Heat and Control:

"Seasoning is one of the most critical and challenging stages in snack production. With Symphony OMS, we set out to address the real-world issues processors face every day, including airborne seasoning, inconsistent coverage and sanitation demands. This is the most accurate on-machine seasoning system we've ever developed, and it is engineered to perform at higher line speeds and application rates."

Water conservation and sustainability technologies

Heat and Control will also showcase its Cascade Water Recirculation Systems, which are designed to help processors reduce freshwater consumption while maintaining sanitation and process performance.

The company's Slice Wash Support Module (SWSM) can remove up to 90 percent of starch from slice washer water, while the Pre-Rinse Support Module (PRSM) removes larger particles from peeler and washer systems to reduce external water turnover requirements.

Rick Bajema, Director of Processing Innovations at Heat and Control:

"Snack manufacturers face growing pressure to operate with less — less energy, less water, less waste. Our Cascade Water Recirculation Systems offer practical tools to conserve, treat and reuse water more effectively."

Thermal processing solutions and industry partnerships

Thermal processing technologies from Tek-Dry Systems, acquired by Heat and Control, will also be featured at the event. The systems support drying, toasting, roasting and cooling applications across snack, cereal and nut production operations.

Heat and Control's Pellet Dryer, part of the Tek-Dry Systems portfolio, will be showcased at Snackex 2026 as a thermal processing solution for drying applications in snack production.

Heat and Control supports food manufacturers through a portfolio of brands that includes FastBack, Spray Dynamics, Mastermatic, Tek-Dry Systems, Fabcon Food Systems and Ishida. Together with long-standing partner Ishida, the company will provide expertise covering processing, product handling, seasoning, weighing, inspection and packaging technologies.

Visitors to Stand #401 will have the opportunity to see live demonstrations of the FastBack Symphony OMS and discuss processing requirements with Heat and Control specialists.
